Bengal BJP Chief Forecasts Political Upheaval: TMC’s Fate Hangs in the Balance

West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar predicts that if the BJP wins just one more seat than the TMC in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Mamata Banerjee-led government won’t last its full term till 2026. With the recent notification of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) rules, Majumdar believes the BJP will sweep the elections, aiming to secure 35 seats from Bengal. He attributes the potential collapse of the TMC government to what he calls “dynasty politics,” pointing fingers at TMC’s leadership choices. Majumdar also emphasizes corruption and the Sandeshkhali incidents as key issues that could sway voters against the TMC.
